Hoopla Has Bonus Borrows for August!

If you’ve had a CALS card for any length of time, you probably know that we offer audio and digital books through the Libby app. But even the most experienced CALSian might not know about Hoopla. Hoopla is an app that offers a variety of digital media; at CALS, we use it to offer TV shows, movies, and graphic novels. You can view media from your computer, smart phone and even some smart TVs.

Simply log in (find the steps here if you need help) and “check out” up to five items per month. In this age of binge-watching all the new shows, Hoopla is here with the classic movies you might have forgotten, like Carrie, A Fish Called Wanda, or The Birdcage.

Right now, during the month of August, Hoopla is doing a special “August Bonus Borrows” meaning there are around two hundred titles you can watch that won’t count against your monthly items. To find this list, search “Bonus Borrows” on Hoopla and choose “Bonus Borrows August 2022 all titles” to see everything available this month. Watch episodes of the TV show, Eloise; read X-men comics; or watch movies from Lifetime and the BBC.
