Join us this summer at your favorite library for reading, learning, and lots of fun activities.

Register online to log and track your reading to earn digital badges and the chance to win our weekly prize drawings! Everyone who registers gets a free bag and Arkansas Travelers tickets to our library night at Dickey-Stephens Park on  August 6. Programming and weekly prize drawings runs June 10 – July 29.

Each week of Summer @ CALS, our library branches will host fun events such as story times, magic shows, concerts, arts & crafts, and STEM activities. There are programs for all ages (including adults)!

Be Mighty Summer Meal Program

Kids and teens 18 and younger can receive free USDA meals through Be Mighty Little Rock and the Central Arkansas Library System. Summer meal service will begin on June 3, 2024 and go through August 14, 2024. Meals will be served Monday-Friday at 10 library branches. All meals must be consumed on site.

To volunteer to serve meals at a Central Arkansas Library System site, contact Jessica Frazier-Emerson at bemighty@cals.org.

Summer @ CALS participants may also track their reading and log their summer library activity to earn badges and entries into our weekly prize drawings.

When you register for Summer @ CALS with the Beanstack app, you can choose to receive regular emails which include reader recommendations and updates on reading challenge progress. If you click the link in the email, you’ll have direct access to the CALS catalog where you can place an item on hold and pick it up at your favorite branch.
