The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking input from the public via an online survey. The survey is accessible via Survey Monkey and will be open from July 15 through August 5, it is available in both English and Spanish. It is estimated that the survey will take participants between five and ten minutes to complete.
This is the first opportunity for the public to weigh in on the future of the library system. CALS has created a steering committee that includes staff and community members who will work together to help guide the process. CALS will also be scheduling a series of public forums to take place during August. CALS is working with a consulting firm, Constructive Disruption, to help create these surveys. CALS previously worked with a different firm to create a strategic plan for 2019-2022; this new plan will cover the period of 2025-2028.

Our last strategic plan resulted in many of the things we have available today; including our wonderful community outreach team, our addition of book lockers as an option for patrons to pick up books outside of regular hours, the forthcoming bookmobile, and the most obvious, all of the renovations and upgrades happening around the system.”
