The pandemic has taken a lot of great things from us- vacations, birthdays, dining out, working at work. But the most devastating thing (in our humble opinion) was the loss of the Friends of CALS Used Book Sale. Thankfully, the book sale is back!

I was born and raised in El Salvador in the 1980’s. I absolutely loved my childhood and growing up in El Salvador. Growing up was a lot like the world of Encanto in a way. We lived very close to the beach,
February is Library Lover’s Month and we asked the executive team what their “Library Love Language” was and why.
The 1992 book, “The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate” by Gary Chapman, outlines five general ways that romantic partners express and experience love, which Chapman calls “love languages.”
Honor or memorial gifts are an everlasting way to pay tribute to someone who has touched your life. Give a donation in someone’s name to mark a special occasion, honor a friend or colleague or remember a beloved family member. When a tribute gift is given the honoree will receive a letter acknowledging your generosity and a bookplate will be placed in a book.
