Book donations have moved, but that’s good news!

Way back in 2019, (does anyone even remember that time anymore?) CALS accepted book donations at all of the branches. Due to the pandemic, we stopped accepting donations at all. And when we started taking them again, we were only accepting donations at Main Library since the used book sale takes place in the Main Library basement.

CALS Takes Chicago

The American Library Association Annual Convention took place in Chicago June 22-27. Eleven CALS staff members were able to attend this year, from a variety of departments across the system including communications, human resources, branch management, youth services, and community resources.

The conference brought in 15,000 library workers and students for this multi-day convention.

It seems like only yesterday patrons were asking for hoopla to come back, which we made happen. And now, we’re giving you more.

Through this beloved app, CALS has been offering access to graphic novels, movies, and TV shows. But starting today, we have even MORE access! With hoopla you can now download ebooks and audiobooks!

Rock, Paper, Run 5K

The Central Arkansas Library System and the North Little Rock Public Library System have partnered to create the Rock, Paper, Run 5K to celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month. This family fun run 5K will take place September 9 at 8:30 a.m. for line-up, race begins at 9:15 a.m. This run will link the two library systems and begin in North Little Rock,
