ADULT PROGRAMMER — The Central Arkansas Library System is in search of an outgoing, public service oriented professional to lead and coordinate activities for a diverse adult audience at the Sanders Library (10200 Johnson Dr, Sherwood, AR 72120). This Adult Programmer position will be a 40-hour per week full-time public service position with responsibilities to include planning and actively carrying out a variety of activities for adults both inside the library and out in the community, designing printed and digital materials and promotions, and developing partnerships with other community organizations. This position also has public service duties, which include working the front desk, answering patron questions, information searching, technology assistance, and shelving. Every other Wednesday evening and every other Saturday required. Excellent communication, technology, and customer service skills are required. COMMUNITY RESOURCES MANAGER – Full-time (40 hour/week). The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a compassionate and experienced Community Resources Manager to provide leadership and oversight for the Library’s community resources and outreach services. This position supports patrons experiencing life challenges, including homelessness, mental health concerns, and other vulnerable populations, by ensuring services are trauma-informed, equitable, and accessible. Responsibilities include supervising Community Resources Specialists and interns; developing and evaluating the program, building partnerships with community organizations and social service agencies, collecting and reporting program data, and serving as a subject matter expert in trauma-informed care. The Community Resources Manager also assists with assessing ADA compliance, collaborates with internal departments on accessibility initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in social work. LCSW license required.Must have experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations, and demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. Must be comfortable working with the public and communicating effectively with a wide variety of audiences. Reliable transportation required. Salary starts at $24.80 per hour annualized to $51,584 and includes excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, company paid retirement, life insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, and holiday pay. LIBRARY ASSISTANT – Full-time (40 hour/week) public service position at the Main Library in the Youth Services Department. Essential duties and responsibilities include assisting patrons on the circulation desk, at self-service kiosks, and throughout the library space as needed, and all day-to-day tasks performed by library staff. This position requires experience with technology, the willingness to enforce rules of conduct, excellent communication, customer service, and attention to detail. This job also involves working with children, families, and teens. Must be able to work every other Saturday. Salary range starts at $15.37 per hour and includes excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, company paid retirement, life insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, and holiday pay. Temporary / Seasonal Positions

THEATER CLERK – The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a Theater Clerk to work at the Ron Robinson Theater on Library Square. The Theater Clerk will work up to 20 hours per week as needed at various events at the theater. Essential duties include working in the concession stand selling alcohol and other snacks, setting up and breaking down events, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, be able to stand for long periods and able to push, pull and lift at least 50lbs. Work schedule mostly evenings and weekends but can include some days.
