Full-Time Positions
SKILLED RENOVATION TECHNICIAN – Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full time (40 hours/week) skilled renovation technician with painting/carpentry/drywall skills, capable of performing small remodel jobs, to maintain/repair 19 public library facilities. High school diploma or equivalent, valid AR driver’s license with clean driving record, 5 years construction experience, and knowledge of a specialized field or combination of equivalent education and experience. Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner, be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 70 lbs., push, pull, and squat. Basic computer skills, detail oriented, and the ability to work in a team-oriented, task sharing environment is essential. Other duties as assigned. Pay starts at $19.00 and includes excellent benefits, such as medical, dental, vision, company paid pension, life insurance, paid time off, and holiday pay. Part-Time Positions
OUTREACH FACILITATOR – Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Outreach Facilitator for the Be Mighty Campaign. Be Mighty Little Rock is a grant funded, city-wide campaign that connects kids and teens to free afterschool and summer meal programs and is also focused on addressing issues surrounding food insecurity and nutrition education for families. The Be Mighty Outreach Facilitator role is to aid in the administration of Be Mighty nutrition and outreach programs. In addition to these programs, the Outreach Facilitator is responsible for attending periodic community group meetings and working with branch staff to host nutrition education programs. Candidate must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of individuals and community organizations, have superior project management and communication skills, and be able to work independently with a high level of efficiency and consistency. The position requires travel to various meal sites, partner organizations, and community events all within the Pulaski County service area. The starting pay is $16.47 an hour.
