I was born & raised in Central Arkansas. I spent a few years in Memphis in public accounting before moving back to Little Rock to enter the insurance industry. My wife Juliana, and both of my two boys, Anderson and Simon love reading.

Cooking Up History: The Story Behind the Cookie

Led by community outreach archivist Danielle Afsordeh, on December 12, 2022, several patrons gathered at the CALS Dee Brown Library to learn about how Arkansans have celebrated Christmas over the state’s history. With the help of kitchen programmer Justin Vess, the group also baked cookies using a 1923 sour cream cookie recipe from the collection of the CALS Butler Center for Arkansas Studies.

MasterClass on Hoopla

Hoopla is an app that patrons are able to access through CALS for free. Patrons can “check out” movies, TV shows, and graphic novels. Recently, Hoopla has begun adding MasterClass to the roster of available videos. MasterClass videos are tutorials and lectures pre-recorded by experts in various fields. Six Bridges Book Festival presents: Classic In Context

Help the Fest go beyond the page with the 2023 Classic in Context.
