PJ Storytime at Children’s was a colorful success!

 

Parents and kids joined in the Oliver Jeffers fun Thursday, November 17. PJ Storytime is an event that takes place at the Hillary Rodham Clinton Children’s Library and Learning Center regularly, but this time things were a bit different. Guests were treated to dinner (soup, sandwiches and salad) while everyone hung out in their PJs (even a few adults!).

Art piece to be temporarily removed from Children’s Library

 

In 2014, the Central Arkansas Library System and Horn Foundation commissioned a sculpture from the renowned artist Alice Guffey Miller to go on the grounds of the CALS Hillary Rodham Clinton Children’s Library & Learning Center. Miller engaged a group of friends and artists to help her create the Imagine Peace sculpture using an oak tree as the base and reclaimed metal to create a bird and flower petals.

CALS Launching Saturdays at the Galleries

The weekends are for CALS and exploring the amazing variety of artisans that Arkansas has to offer. CALS is hosting “Saturdays at the Galleries,” a series of artist demonstrations at the CALS Galleries & Bookstore at Library Square. This free public event will be held each Saturday from May 28 through August 27 from 11 a.m.
