What are you reading, Keya Marr?

My name is Keya Marr, and I recently turned 17 🙂. I’m the only child at home right now which is amazing, I’m a junior in high school and plan to go to medical school to become an OB/GYN. I was an intern at CALS working at the Nixon branch this summer.

What are you reading (now, just finished, lined up to start soon), if you’ve finished it, what’s your favorite part (no spoilers!)
I’m currently reading multiple books, including You Are The Everything by Karen Rivers, this was recommended to me through the summer reading club, and The Decent Proposal by Kemper Donovan.

What was your favorite book for children? Why?
My favorite books for children to read are the Harry Potter and The Percy Jackson series.’ They’re both magical books that I believe will catch any kids attention, and it doesn’t take forever for the action to happen which I think kids would appreciate.

Where is your favorite place (or time) to read?
I read everywhere, but my favorite place is probably school. There’s something about being in a place where they encourage you to read, but don’t want you to read while you’re there (unless they’re telling you to).

Book Hot Takes:

Physical/ digital/ or audio?
– I love them all, but I’d have to pick digital just because physical copies aren’t always assessable, and I’ll only go for an audiobook if the others aren’t available. Also, if I listen to an adiobook the only way I’ll be able to read it again is by listening to it.

Do you judge a book by its cover?
Yes, I judge books by their cover. No one wants a cover they don’t like, that’s why people buy dust jackets.
