Spring is one of the best times for bird watching in Arkansas (close second would be in Fall when they’re migrating south). Our mild winters and long, warm summers makes the climate in Arkansas perfect for birdwatching year round. Spring time is always an exciting time for bird watching in Arkansas as hundreds of birds begin their annual migration north along the Mississippi Flyway to their northern breeding grounds.
Each of the CALS library branches have a hidden (or maybe not so hidden) secret; special collections that you can only get at that specific branch. At McMath, you can take home native Arkansas seeds for your garden. At Children’s Library you can check out a musical instrument. And at Dee Brown,
Spring is, well, in the process of springing. Birds are chirping and things are starting to sprout. But you haven’t planted anything? We can solve that. You might not know it, but in addition to books and digital media, CALS also has a library of things you can check out, including a seed library.
Honor or memorial gifts are an everlasting way to pay tribute to someone who has touched your life. Give a donation in someone’s name to mark a special occasion, honor a friend or colleague or remember a beloved family member. When a tribute gift is given the honoree will receive a letter acknowledging your generosity and a bookplate will be placed in a book.
