Hillary Clinton visited the library named for her as part of the 10 year celebrations

The Hillary Rodham Clinton Children’s Library & Learning Center (CLLC) has been celebrating the 10th anniversary of the library through a series of ten events! The celebrations began on March 16, the date the library officially opened in 2013, with the Birthday Kickoff extravaganza with drumming instructor, Stephin Booth. On March 25, there was a “Trip to the Theater,” featuring a concert with kids comedy band mömandpöp in the Linda Bly Theater.

Book lockers now available at four branches

The Main, Rooker, McMath, and Terry branches now have book lockers available as a hold pick-up location.  These lockers give you a chance to check out your holds at your convenience, even if the best time for you is when the branch is closed. You’ll need to choose a locker as your pick-up location when you place your hold(s).

May is AAPI Heritage Month

May is AAPI Heritage Month, and recognizes the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. The reason May was chosen comes back to two important dates; May 7 and May 10. May 7, 1843, marks the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants to the United States.
