As 2025 draws to a close, I want to extend my holiday greetings and pause to reflect on the momentous events at CALS over the past 12 months.
Our Library
Among the best things our 15 CALS libraries offer are spaces for community connection alongside quiet moments for rest and reflection.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! From beloved animation to comedy staples, these Christmas movies have made their way into our hearts. The kind of movies that still bring joy after hundreds of viewings, and will continue for hundreds more. Join us this December in the Ron Robinson Theater to celebrate the holiday season on the big screen.
Food for Fines is back! This year, Food for Fines will take place December 1 – 19. During that time, patrons are invited to bring non-perishable food and personal hygiene products to a CALS library to offset overdue fines on their accounts. Most donated items will be kept at CALS to stock the Little Free Pantries.
Join us for a magical holiday experience at the library! From November 10th through December 19th, children of all ages are invited to write letters to Santa Claus. Share your heart’s desires, express your gratitude, or simply send a holiday greeting. Our friendly library elves will collect your letters, and Santa himself will write back to each child with a personalized response by Christmas Day.
Honor or memorial gifts are an everlasting way to pay tribute to someone who has touched your life. Give a donation in someone’s name to mark a special occasion, honor a friend or colleague or remember a beloved family member. When a tribute gift is given the honoree will receive a letter acknowledging your generosity and a bookplate will be placed in a book.
