Women’s History Month
March is Women’s History Month, and at CALS we’re exploring everything that makes for a powerful woman in history. The Roberts Library is hosting a series of events throughout the system. This month’s Legacies & Lunch will be Rhonda Stewart: “Six Generations of Arkansas Women” (If you missed it, you can watch it here) and don’t miss the Fletcher movie night showing of The Woman King. Bring your teen to Terry Library for their International Women’s Day program with fun like a Rosie the Riveter themed photo booth and games. Children’s Library has a unique event for kids, Sow the Seeds of Victory: Women and Victory Gardens, where kids can learn about the history of Victory Gardens and how to grow their own. Make buttons at Main, at the Women’s Suffrage Buttons event.

Additionally, the Encyclopedia of Arkansas (EOA) has a Women’s History Month scavenger hunt that can be participated in from any branch. Get involved with these events for all ages and celebrate the strong, Arkansas women in your life!
