Darrel McLaughlin has worked at CALS for 14 years, most recently in Technical Services. He tries to read a variety of diverse books but lately he has mostly been reading Star Wars graphic novels. Jasmine Jobe is the Editorial Assistant for the Encyclopedia of Arkansas. She’s been with CALS for 10 years. Fun facts: her favorite colors are rainbow and sunshine and her favorite meals are coffee and dessert. One of her favorite books is The Geek’s Guide to The Writing Life by Stephanie Vanderslice.

Glen Harrison is a referee with US Rowing.  He is also a member of the Rock City Rowing Club that rows out of a boathouse at Two Rivers Park in west Little Rock.  In addition to rowing, he teaches courses at the LifeQuest of Arkansas Adult Education Program at Second Presbyterian Church and is the Vice President of the Arkansas Chapter of the Fulbright Association.

After spending years with children and teens in the library, CALS staffer Alison now finds herself drooling over books to order in Collection Development. Here are two of her favorites.

What did you read in that book you liked about foxes?

“Aww, look at these baby foxes—they are playing with their mom!”
