Top Ten Things to Do in December

December gets off to a rockin’ start on Friday, December 6, with The Normal Noises: A Tribute to Tom Petty. Currently celebrating the 30th anniversary of Petty’s iconic album Wildflowers, this tribute band delivers an authentic and electrifying experience, paying homage to the legendary sound of Tom Petty.

This year, the Food for Fines food drive will run for two weeks, December 8-21, and each item will offset $2 worth of fines (versus the $1 offered in previous years). Most donated items will be kept at CALS to stock the Little Free Pantries. During Food for Fines, patrons are invited to bring non-perishable food and personal hygiene products to a CALS library to offset overdue fines on their accounts; patrons may bring up to 10 items to offset up to $20 worth of fines.

As we approach the final stretch of the year, the Central Arkansas Library System is buzzing with activity and excitement. As part of your End of Year Giving Campaign, please consider joining the thousands of donors who support the Central Arkansas Library System by giving to CALS Foundation.
