Small Business Saturday at CALS!
This year for Small Business Saturday there are two great shopping opportunities at CALS downtown. The Rock It! Lab and at the Galleries & Bookstore at Library Square.
The Rock It! Lab is a partnership between CALS and Advancing Black Entrepreneurship that helps under-resourced entrepreneurs with access to resources, tools and guidance to grow their businesses. One of the things they are able to provide is retail space for those who are not quite ready to move to their own locations. The River Shop is that shared space, housed on the first floor of the Rock It! Lab home- the Cox Building. This shop is open to the public where you can browse from the wares of multiple vendors. Shop from items like clothing, home goods, and even pre-packaged shelf-stable food items.
On Small Business Saturday, the River Shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Galleries & Bookstore at Library Square is a unique and beautiful place to shop. Located within the Roberts Library on the first floor, many handmade items are displayed in glass cases, echoing the beauty of the building. With over 80 Arkansas artists, authors, and food makers, there’s something for everyone on your list. Admire the beautiful artistry of local wood workers, ceramic artists and jewelers and even take something home. While in the back, you can browse among both gently read popular titles or choose from a number of local authors.
On Small Business Saturday, the Galleries & Bookstore at Library Square will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
