April 22 is Earth day, but at CALS, we like to go all in and claim April as Earth Month. We’ve rounded up all the programs going on across the system and put them into one handy place.
What is BiblioCommons?
BiblioCommons is the catalog that we previously used (from October 2015– September 2022), before switching to Vega Discover. We made the switch to Vega because of the opportunities for customization and integration.

I was born & raised in Central Arkansas. I spent a few years in Memphis in public accounting before moving back to Little Rock to enter the insurance industry.
March is Women’s History Month, and at CALS we’re exploring everything that makes for a powerful woman in history. The Roberts Library is hosting a series of events throughout the system.
Thanks to Libby and OverDrive (the platform that CALS uses for ebooks), CALS has access to a program called “Together We Read,” which allows for simultaneous reading of books.
Some weekends you just know that you want to spend it on the couch, binging something, moving only to refill your snacks or to change from comfy clothes into comfier clothes.
Honor or memorial gifts are an everlasting way to pay tribute to someone who has touched your life. Give a donation in someone’s name to mark a special occasion, honor a friend or colleague or remember a beloved family member. When a tribute gift is given the honoree will receive a letter acknowledging your generosity and a bookplate will be placed in a book.
