Bryan Day has been involved with state and local government for over thirty years; the positions he has held have allowed him to focus on building and strengthening communities.

Bryan was appointed Executive Director of the Little Rock Port Authority in June 2014.  The Little Rock Port Authority’s mission is to “drive economic development by providing a world-class transportation hub that connects Arkansas to the global economy.”  

Prior to assuming this position,

I love to read.  For the past 28 years, I have owned and operated a court reporting business, which involves hours and hours of proofreading.  So for many years I have read a lot, not necessarily what I wanted to read, albeit many times quite interesting and informative.

My name is Amy Forbus, and I serve as Communications Director for Hendrix College. After I graduated from Hendrix, my husband and I spent 14 years living in the Dallas area, then moved back to Little Rock in 2010 – we’re both Arkansas natives. When we aren’t constrained by a pandemic, I sing with a couple of different bands on a regular basis.

My name is Diane Newton and I have lived in Little Rock with my wife, Andrea, and our 3 Yorkshire Terriers, Hanna, Charlie, and Eliza, since 2014. I have an adult son, Mason, who lives and works in Fayetteville. I am a project manager at a prominent local bank, which keeps me pretty busy, but I love to read in my spare time,

I am Sean Dunbar. I am a husband to Marcia, a father to Lance and Katlyn and the Director of Children’s Ministry at St. James UMC in west Little Rock.

If you can’t find me at church, or with my family, I can usually be found at the soccer fields, where I coach kids for Arkansas Rising,

Juliana Flinn is a professor of anthropology at the University of Arkansas – Little Rock. She has lived here for 35 years.  Her pastimes include acting in community theater, hiking, practicing yoga, and playing with grandchildren. 

I’m a cultural anthropologist, and I’m convinced that the reading I did as a child set me on that path. 

I teach English, and I’m also a model for conceptual art. I’ve appeared in a few plays at The Weekend Theater and the Arkansas Theatre Festival, and was cast in Lysistrata at The Studio Theater pre-COVID. A couple of years ago, I rediscovered my interest in art, specifically watercolor.
