Summer Reading Club 2020: Imagine Your Story

Patrons of all ages are encouraged imagine their own stories by participating in Summer Reading Club with CALS. Registration is available online at cals.beanstack.org where patrons can log their reading and other library activities, earn badges, and be entered in drawings for weekly prizes. This year, all Summer Reading Club programs at CALS will be do-at-home activities or virtual events taking place on Facebook, YouTube, Zoom, and other digital platforms. Some events will be live and others will be recorded.

CALS has partnered with Beanstack, an easy-to-use, mobile-friendly website which offers age-appropriate book recommendations for kids, teens, adults, and families, based on your interests and background. Summer Reading Club participants may also track their reading and log their summer library activity to earn badges and entries into our weekly prize drawings.

When you register for Summer Reading Club with the Beanstack app, you can choose to receive regular emails which include reader recommendations, helpful learning tips, and activities for each book selected. If you click the link in the email, you’ll have direct access to the CALS catalog where you can place an item on hold and pick it up at your favorite branch.
