Roll, Heat, Eat! Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Tortilla Making!
For this month’s elementary school event, come learn about the history of the tortilla and learn to make your own!
*UPDATE* : this event has been changed to a grab and go package. We will include recipe and ingredients for patrons to take home.

Fletcher Story Time
Come join us weekly for kids’ story time with Ms. Lauren! She picks a different theme each week!
For kiddos ages 0-5. We have two story times each Tuesday: 9:30-10:30 and 10:30-11:30! Show up at the time that’s best for you and your kiddo!

Board Game Club
Teens and tweens collaborate and compete in board and card games.

Memory Cafe
Memory Cafe is a coffee social for older adults experiencing symptoms of dementia and their care partners. Please join us for snacks, socializing, and a special crafting activity (canvas paintings with painters tape) in a welcoming, stigma free environment! If you are a care partner/caregiver caring for more than one person, please call first. This program is not designed to be a group outing for memory care facilities
Total Solar Eclipse: The Arkansas Experience
Join the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society Eclipse Team for a presentation on the spectacular solar eclipse coming to Arkansas next year! Learn a bit of history about eclipses in Arkansas, why an eclipse occurs, and what to expect during the total solar eclipse of April 8th, 2024. Most importantly learn how to safely view an eclipse.
Presenters are Carl Freyaldenhoven, a retired science teacher who has been to six solar eclipses, and Darcy Howard, a retired science illustrator with a special interest in eclipses and solar astronomy.

CALS Writing Circle: Six-Word Memoir at Fletcher Library
Legend has it that Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. His response? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” Learn to tell a story of YOUR life in just six words! Whether humorous, profound, or somewhere in between, this exercise will give you an idea of events, memories, or emotions that have meaning for you. Third Wednesday Writing Club
Join us for our first monthly elementary Writing Circle! We’ll provide snacks and notebooks, and you’ll go home with a unique pin for every Circle you attend.
