Little Rock, AR – This morning, the Central Arkansas Library System hosted a ceremonial wall-breaking event for the flagship Main Library. Key members of CALS staff, project leads from Polk Stanley Wilcox, WER Architects, Stocks-Mann Architects, and CDI Contractors, as well as Mayor Frank Scott, Jr., and a large group of patrons and guests gathered to view the empty library one last time.

Little Rock, AR – The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) has announced the details for the popular Food for Fines Program. This year, Food for Fines will take place December 10 – 16. During that time, patrons are invited to bring non-perishable food and personal hygiene products to a CALS library to offset overdue fines on their accounts.

The weekend includes a talk with Hendrix College film studies professor Kristi McKim, author of Rushmore, published by BFI Film Classics.
