Production Studio at CALS Main Library

It’s a place to learn, experiment, and bring your creative ideas to life. You can get hands-on with a variety of equipment, including cameras, microphones, lights, recording equipment, a PC with production-related software, and more.

And best of all, it’s free with your CALS card!

The studio offers the following equipment:

  • Yamaha DM3 Audio Mixer
  • RODE VideoCaster
  • Wired lavalier mics (3)

  • Large Samsung TV on wheels
  • A variety of furniture to use on-set

Learn in the Studio

If you’d like to get started with audio, video, and photography–or you’re interested in expanding your skills–the Production Studio offers a variety of free classes! In these sessions, you’ll learn best practices for making your creative projects, how to handle equipment safely, and workflows to bring your vision to life. Join us for our next session. Classes are open to everyone, but space is limited, so registration is usually required.

  • Current CALS library card (If you don’t have one yet, you can apply online or at any CALS library.)
  • Attend our Production Studio Orientation class (3rd Wednesday of each month)
