Off the Shelf features new releases in both physical and digital media, exhibitions, and highlights larger system-wide programs. We hope this publication serves our patrons by providing current news about our collection– the foundation of all great libraries. A full schedule of events can still be found at HERE.
2026 Six Bridges Book Festival Author Submissions now open
The Six Bridges Book Festival is accepting submissions from February 2 to March 20, 2026. The 23rd annual Fest will take place Sept. 27 to October 4, 2026. Submissions are shared with the Festival’s talent committee. When evaluating submissions, in addition to literary merit, consideration is given to where books might fit in the overall event.
Count Up
Count UP is a free after-school math tutoring program for K-12 students in Central Arkansas. Through this program, created by the Central Arkansas Library System and supported by an ESSER grant, experienced tutors are matched with students to provide personalized support and guidance.
