Summer CALS Used Book Sale Offers Educator Discount

Additional 25% off already low prices of $1 paperbacks and $2 hardbacks.

Little Rock, AR – The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) has announced the details for the summer CALS Used Book Sale. The Used Book Sale will take place July 11 – 13 at the Port Industrial Hub, 7773 Sloane Dr.

Books at the CALS Used Book Sale are priced at $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardbacks. During the summer sale, educators (with a valid ID) will receive an additional 25% off those prices.

Used Book Sale hours are 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13. Former Friends of CALS members and donors can shop early Thursday, July 11, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“The CALS Used Book Sale continues to be one of our most popular programs as it offers a service to the community and provides funds that help support other library programs,” Lily Kauffman, CALS Development Specialist said. “We’ve enjoyed seeing the support and enthusiasm for the sale continue at our new location.”

Revenue generated will go to the CALS Foundation to support the Six Bridges Book Festival, Summer @ CALS, book club kits, grants to all CALS library branches, and other library programs (including Be Mighty, Count Up, the Encyclopedia of Arkansas, and others).
