What are you reading, Polk Stanley Wilcox?

On Tuesday, February 6, CALS held a “Wall Breaking” ceremony to kick off the interior demolition of the library. It included a huge turnout of patrons, CALS staff, and members from CDI Contractors as well as the architects from Polk Stanley Wilcox. After a bit of conversation, we discovered how ecstatic they were to be working on the Library, as most of the staff are heavy readers. So we asked what we always ask, “What are you reading right now?” and out of that conversation came this list. Everything that anyone is reading at Polk Stanley Wilcox.

If we could make some conjecture about the direction of the Library based off of their book selections, we might expect the sleek landscapes of Dune, or something resembling a castle, or maybe a barren cold space like Pluto? OK, Main Library doesn’t seem like it will look like any of those but it will have a Boulevard Bread, and if that isn’t A Promised Land, I don’t know what is.
