PROGRAM COORDINATOR – Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator for its new Count Up math tutoring project, a 12-month, grant-funded position to coordinate and organize a tutoring program at Children’s Library and Learning Center for K-12 students who need assistance with math. Essential duties include collaborating to plan, develop and implement all aspects of the program including recruiting and training math tutors and maintaining appropriate program and fiscal records in compliance with federal and state requirements. The Program Coordinator will work closely with local educational institutions to recruit and train tutors for in-person and virtual tutoring sessions. Program Coordinator must be strongly motivated to help students and have superior organizational and project management skills to successfully implement and maintain the project in a short time frame. A successful candidate will build a strong, diverse team, prioritize collaboration and positive communication, and execute the work of the “Count Up” program with a high level of efficiency and reliability. Additional qualifications include holding a bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 3 years of project management and/or training experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The starting annual salary is $47,112 with excellent benefits. The contract for the position will last 12 months, concluding in September 2021. Temporary, Seasonal, & Contract Positions

Rock It! Lab AmeriCorps VISTA Member – fulltime/40 hrs per week at Main Library. Seeking a self-motivated individual with strong writing and communication skills to assist in developing and launching a co-working space that promotes workforce development and entrepreneurship in the Central Arkansas area. Major functions will be providing information, resources, and services to people interested in improving their job readiness, coordinating programming for people building small businesses, and overseeing the day-to-day use of the Rock It! Lab space, including providing technology and research assistance. Additionally, this VISTA will identify ways to make Rock It! Lab support ongoing and sustainable. Ideal applicants should possess a 4-year degree in business, communication, sociology, liberal arts, or similar, be able to work independently and enjoy public speaking. Experience with MS Office suite, project planning, and volunteer recruitment preferred. VISTA members receive a $12,490 living allowance and have the option between receiving a $6,195 education award or $1,800 end of service stipend. MATH TUTORS – Central Arkansas Library System is seeking part-time math tutors for our grant funded Count Up tutoring project. This program will assist students in grades K-12 with in-person and virtual math tutoring. In addition to tutoring students, math tutors will assist with training volunteer tutors with the potential for some additional hours for administrative support for qualified candidates. Interested candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or education and possess strong math skills in multiple math subjects, excellent verbal communication skills, good time management, and excellent computer skills.
