Seeking an energetic, youth-focused applicant with experience working with young children especially in an educational or enrichment setting. Knowledge of early childhood education and children’s literature is desired. Ideal candidates will present interactive early literacy and storytime programs for babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children and their caregivers as well as enriching library programs for children of all ages. In addition to programming responsibilities, the programmer will provide excellent customer service to library patrons of all ages. Working cooperatively with library staff is essential. Pages are part-time positions, sorting and shelving materials. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Must be able to reach all shelving with aid of a kick stool. Must have some knowledge of computers. Evening and Saturday hours may be required. Sunday hours may be required for Main and Children’s Library. Spanish language skills preferred. Contact individual location for specifics. $9.23/hr.
