Grants and Development AmeriCorps VISTA member fulltime/40 hrs per week at Roberts Library

Seeking a self-motivated individual with strong writing and communication skills to develop sustainable funding streams for programs and projects that alleviate poverty. Major functions will include planning an event, soliciting donations, and corresponding with donors and volunteers. Additionally, this VISTA will be responsible for supporting the development of a new customer database to ensure the software properly stores and tracks funding. This VISTA member will increase CALS development team’s capacity to apply for and manage grants. The applicant should have experience with MS Office Suite, project planning, and volunteer recruitment. Applicants should hold a four-year degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or similar field. VISTA members receive a $12,490 living allowance and have the option between receiving a $6,195 education award or $1,800 end of service stipend. Rock It! Lab AmeriCorps VISTA member fulltime/40 hrs per week at Main Library.

Seeking a self-motivated individual with strong writing and communication skills to assist in developing and launching a co-working space that promotes workforce development and entrepreneurship in the Central Arkansas area. Major functions will be providing information, resources, and services to people interested in improving their job readiness, coordinating programming for people building small businesses, and overseeing the day-to-day use of the Rock It! Lab space, including providing technology and research assistance. Additionally, this VISTA will identify ways to make Rock It! Lab support ongoing and sustainable. Ideal applicants should possess a 4-year degree in business, communication, sociology, liberal arts, or similar, be able to work independently and enjoy public speaking. Experience with MS Office suite, project planning, and volunteer recruitment preferred. VISTA members receive a $12,490 living allowance and have the option between receiving a $6,195 education award or $1,800 end of service stipend. USDA Meal Specialist VISTA member fulltime/40 hrs per week at Main Library

Seeking a service-oriented individual with strong writing and communication skills to coordinate data analytics and marketing for Be Mighty Little Rock.  Utilizing these skills this member will help expand USDA meal service in high need areas.  Major functions will include creating quarterly reports to track the number of meals served and the total number of operating days, identify areas in need of additional services, and presenting recommendations. Additionally, this VISTA member will design flyers and generate content for bemightylittlerock.org and social media. This VISTA member will assist with outreach at community events by creating engaging ways to promote USDA meal programs in Little Rock. Additionally, this VISTA member will recruit and train meal site volunteers. Applicants should hold a four-year degree in business, math, computer science, nutrition, English, journalism, communications, marketing, or similar. The applicant should be self-motivated, possess strong writing skills, and enjoy public speaking. The applicant should have experience with MS Office Suite, project planning, and volunteer recruitment.
