VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR &nash; The Volunteer Coordinator will serve as the coordinator/conduit for all volunteers and volunteer activities across the Central Arkansas Library System. The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit and manage volunteers for the system including volunteers for FOCAL, Next Chapter and other groups. The Volunteer Coordinator will work to coordinate volunteer opportunities with branches and programs and create and participate in community outreach opportunities for the Library. The Volunteer Coordinator will manage renewal and membership activities related to volunteers, report annual statistics, plan and host in-service for branch volunteer coordinator and others, create and maintain volunteer handbook and policies. Excellent communication, great customer service skills and the ability to organize and prioritize are a must. Salary starts at $40,913 will excellent benefits. DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES & OPERATIONS – The Central Arkansas Library System seeks a full-time Director of Facilities and Operations. The Director of Facilities and Operations is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and physical appearance of all library system buildings and grounds (approximately 500,000 sq. over 20 buildings in two counties in Central Arkansas) ensuring that the buildings are maintained in a safe, attractive, and clean condition. Responsibilities include supervising the maintenance, security, housekeeping, and landscape department managers, collaborating with administration, department managers and branch managers regarding facility needs, recommending associated actions, and overseeing projects (e.g. site repairs/construction, preventative maintenance, etc.) to ensure completion within established time frames, project design, and budget. Interested candidate should have a broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc., plus 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Great customer service skills and the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines required. Salary will depend on experience and includes excellent benefits. PROJECT COORDINATOR – The Central Arkansas Library System is hiring a full time Project Coordinator, a 15 month grant funded position, to coordinate a city wide campaign to encourage more organizations to use federal programs to feed underserved children. In conjunction with an advisory board composed of representatives of partnering organizations, the Coordinator is responsible for managing, organizing, and coordinating a wide variety of functions and performing various administrative and technical duties in support of the program. Essential duties include help plan, develop and implement all aspects of the program, maintain appropriate program and fiscal records in compliance with federal and state requirements. Candidate must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of individuals and community organizations, be highly organized, have strong oral and written communication skills, be able to work independently with a high level of efficiency and consistency. Candidate must have reliable transportation to make site visits to the service areas. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field with at least two years of related work experience or a high school diploma with at least six years of related work experience. The starting annual salary is $47,112 with excellent benefits. The time period for the position will be 15 months – through Dec. 2019. Library Page and Temporary Positions

Pages are part-time positions, sorting and shelving materials. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Must be able to reach all shelving with aid of a kick stool. Must have some knowledge of computers. Evening and Saturday hours may be required. Sunday hours may be required for Main and Children’s Library. Spanish language skills preferred. Contact individual location for specifics. $9.23/hr.
