PROGRAM COORDINATOR – Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator for the Rock It! Lab—an entrepreneur hub aimed at helping under-resourced entrepreneurs with education and resources to develop and succeed in their businesses. This grant-funded position is new and needs someone who has start-up business knowledge, a strong desire to help others, and the ability to visualize and execute ideas quickly. Essential duties include planning, developing, and implementing all aspects of the program including but not limited to recruiting entrepreneurs and partners, planning and executing events, collecting and maintaining data, and researching. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Rock It! Lab and assist in the development and implementation of programming in the COX Building. Candidate must be strongly motivated to help entrepreneurs and have superior organizational and project management skills to successfully implement and maintain the project in a short timeframe. Additional qualifications include holding a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area with at least 3 years of related work experience, or equivalent education and experience. Assistant Branch Manager – Full-time public service position at the Maumelle Library. Candidate will assist in providing leadership to staff, troubleshoot and solve problems, and work to set a positive tone with the library and with the staff. Ability to handle problematic behavior and situations with ease and a good attitude is essential. Candidate will take part in teen program planning and coordination. Experience working with adults, children, teens, and large groups is preferred. Ability to balance a wide array of tasks that range from management and scheduling to patron and staff support, as well as day-to-day library operations, is required. Approach to leadership must be collaborative, kind, and team oriented. Familiarity with technology and digital media, the ability to provide instructional assistance on devices, and excellent communication and customer services skills required. Familiarity with popular reading and entertainment materials desirable. Salary range starts at $35,963 and includes excellent benefits.
