Production Studio

Make your thing! The CALS Main Library (100 Rock Street in downtown Little Rock) includes an A/V production studio. It’s a place to learn, experiment, and bring your creative ideas to life. You can get hands-on with a variety of equipment, including cameras, microphones, lights, recording equipment, a PC with production-related software, and more. And best of all, it’s free with your CALS card!

The studio offers the following equipment:

  • Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio 4K8 Video Switcher
  • Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K Plus G2 (3) with teleprompters
  • Yamaha DM3 Audio Mixer
  • RØDE VideoCaster
  • Wired lavalier mics (3)
  • Constant-light monolights (3)
  • Aputure lantern softboxes (4)
  • Junior combo stands (6)
  • Large Samsung TV on wheels
  • A variety of furniture to use on-set

Learn in the Studio

Production studio classes are currently paused, but we plan to resume offering them in Fall 2026. Please keep an eye on this page, and we will update it when classes are back on the schedule. We look forward to seeing you!
