Administration Staff

Nate oversees the entire CALS organization and reports to the Board of Directors. His work primarily focuses on identifying and implementing the library’s goals by: advocating for the library in the community, fostering partnerships with other organizations with common or similar missions, and securing the resources necessary for CALS staff to do their critically important work.

Kate oversees and coordinates all aspects of public services within our library system. She plays a critical role in shaping the library’s strategic direction, enhancing user experiences, and fostering community engagement.

Eliza’s team connects donors to funding opportunities at the library. They develop grant proposals, seek sponsorships for events and programs, and lead fundraising campaigns. The development staff also oversee the library’s vibrant volunteer program and the popular CALS Used Book Sale, and they are the primary staff liaisons to the CALS Foundation board of directors. Eliza will be happy to assist any patrons interested in making a memorial or special gift to the library (large or small).

Pam is available to provide information on branch assistance and any questions or concerns regarding the following branches: Hillary Rodham Clinton Children’s Library & Learning Center, John Gould Fletcher Library, Maumelle Library, Max Milam Library, Esther Dewitt Nixon Library, Adolphine Fletcher Terry Library, and Roosevelt Thompson Library.

Joe oversees the following locations: Main Library, Millie Brooks Library, Dee Brown Library, McMath Library, Rooker Library, and Williams Library; he also assists with system circulation services, the Safety Department, and the Rock It! Lab.

Tameka works on the communications plan for the system, which includes the development of CALS messaging and branding, event/program promotion, and coordinating special events. She is the primary contact for all media inquiries.

Amanda oversees system-wide youth programming, advises on policy and best practices related to our youth patrons, supervises the Count Up math tutoring programming, and communicates with and coordinates outreach to our community partners.

Ellen leads our programming team, overseeing the wide range of events and special projects that engage our diverse community both inside the libraries and through partnerships and outreach outside our walls.

Jo is responsible for overseeing and managing the finance department, including managing the System budget, management and administration of the CALS staff retirement plans, as well as the finances for the Foundation.

Ray provides high-level operational and strategic support for the Executive Director.  He oversees projects assigned by the Director. He often serves as the first point of contact between the public and CALS administration. Ray also serves as the liaison for the CALS Board of Trustees.

Heather oversees adult programming for the system and facilitates programming at the branch level, including identifying people and organizations that can provide turn-key programs at the branches. Heather oversees any system-wide adult programs and works with the branch programmers to ensure their participation.
