CONTENT CREATOR – Full-time (40 hours/wk) The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a Content Creator who will be responsible for designing, coordinating, shooting, and editing educational, instructional, promotional, and storytelling-focused video and audio content. This role plays a key part in translating the library’s mission into engaging stories for digital platforms, events, and internal communications. We’re looking for a storyteller at heart—someone who loves the breadth of books, programs, and services libraries offer and is equally passionate about helping staff and patrons tell their stories. We believe storytelling is one of our most powerful tools for connection. This is a marketing and communications role, not simply a video editing position. The person in this role will work special events and collaborate closely with teams across the system to shape narratives, highlight impact, and bring CALS to life through compelling video and audio content that informs, inspires, and builds community. ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER / ADULT PROGRAMMER – Full-time public service position at Sanders Library (10200 Johnson Dr, Sherwood, AR 72120). We are seeking a positive, collaborative individual to help lead our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in empathetic leadership, project management, and working with adult learners. Essential duties of this position include assisting the Branch Manager with management functions including scheduling, supervision, and staff development; modeling excellent communication and customer service skills; performing functions associated with a public library environment such as circulation, guest services, instructional assistance, and administrative reporting; executing all aspects of library activities and events for adults, including program development, marketing and promotion, implementation, and analysis. Must be able to work independently and to organize and complete multiple assignments concurrently. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to function under flexible and changing conditions required. Candidates must be able to reach, lift, push and pull up to 50lbs, and be able to stand for periods of time. Schedule will include some nights and Saturdays. LIBRARY SAFETY OFFICER – Full-time (40 hrs. per week). The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a library safety officer at the Fletcher Library. Our ideal candidate is an approachable, friendly, and team-oriented individual who enjoys working with patrons of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences, and has a customer-service-oriented approach to public safety. The work schedule will be Monday and Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Key responsibilities include working closely with library staff to address daily challenges with a respectful and inclusive approach; proactively addressing problem behavior before corrective action is required; building relationships with a large after-school crowd; enforcing the library’s Rules of Conduct with fairness and understanding; accurately documenting incidents; patrolling our large campus; and responding to and assisting with emergencies. Must be able to stand, walk for extended periods of time, and work indoors and outdoors. Some computer experience is required and must have reliable transportation. Spanish language skills a plus but not required. Part-Time Positions

LIBRARY CLERK – 20 hours/week Part–time public service position at the Main Library. Seeking energetic, customer service-oriented applicant with exceptional sorting ability, great attention to detail, and communication skills. Essential duties include shelving items, shelf reading, emptying book bins, working the circulation desk, and answering patron questions. Applicant must be comfortable working with children and teens. Must be able to stand for long periods, push and pull at least 50 lbs., lift, and squat. Applicants must be available to work a schedule that includes every Saturday. The pay is $15.00 per hour. Temporary / Seasonal Positions

THEATER CLERK – The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a Theater Clerk to work at the Ron Robinson Theater on Library Square. The Theater Clerk will work up to 20 hours per week as needed at various events at the theater. Essential duties include working in the concession stand selling alcohol and other snacks, setting up and breaking down events, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, be able to stand for long periods and able to push, pull and lift at least 50lbs. Work schedule mostly evenings and weekends but can include some days.
