About the author:
Randall Woods is Distinguished Professor of History at the University of Arkansas. He teaches American political and diplomatic history, having served as Stanley Kaplan Distinguished Professor of Political History at Williams College, John G. Winant Professor of American Politics at Oxford University, and a Mellon Fellow at Cambridge University. He is the author of Fulbright: A Biography (Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award nominee; Robert H. Ferrell Prize for Best Book on American Foreign Relations), LBJ: Architect of American Ambition (Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award nominee; New York Times Editors’ Choice), and Shadow Warrior: William E. Colby and the CIA (New York Times Editors’ Choice).
