Milam- Sew Much Fun

To begin the new year, we have chosen a new time for Sew Much Fun!  Join Ms. Denise to learn simple sewing skills by making sewing projects for your home that can be completed in one session.  Sewing machines are provided.

Programs will be on  Monday afternoon from 3:30-5:30 pm on the first and third Mondays.

About the Library

The Max Milam Library is a vital part of the community in Perry County. The 5,000 square-feet library was built in 1993, offers a wide variety of adult and children’s books, DVDs, public computers, and wireless Internet access, as well as a meeting room.

Point of Interest

Carl Max Milam

Carl Max Milam was a printing plant superintendent, a university professor and department chairman, the director of a major Arkansas state government agency under two governors, the financial manager for Winthrop Rockefeller, a university president, and a business executive. A branch library of the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) and a scholarship at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) were named in his honor.
