Level 4

Level 4 is a teen-only space, open to teens ages 12-19. While patrons of all ages are welcome to come in and browse the collection, extended access including use of the game room and computers is limited to our teens. The bright and colorful space has a relaxing and inviting vibe, so come in and hang awhile.

Level 4 features areas for both group and individual computer use, a café style snack area, private study rooms and open tables for group study, two program rooms, and of course the Young Adult collection of books, movies, music, and magazines.

Our game room contains a Wii, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. We also have four individual use computers and four group use computers.

We have daily programs (except on Sunday) that include Tech and STEM programming, crafting, programs centered around both graphic novels and video games, cooking, college prep, and more.

Parents and caregivers will find comfortable seating in our waiting area just outside the entrance to Level 4. We also encourage parents, caregivers, and younger children to take advantage of other library activities while the teens are in Level 4. Younger children have access to computers and materials in the Youth Services Department on the 3rd floor and adults may access computers in the Information Services Department on the 2nd floor.

Youth Services

The Youth services Department is located on the 3rd floor of the Main Library. This space was designed for children 12 and under and their families. We offer weekly, literacy-based storytimes for babies and toddlers as well as preschoolers. We also offer a weekly music and movement program. Click on our calendar to the right for more details, dates, and times. Every Saturday we offer family programming at 10:30. Additionally, we offer after school programs for school age kids each week day at 4:00 p.m. Programs range from arts and crafts to robotics to cooking and more.

The Youth Services department has gross motor play areas for younger kids, a seating area just for Tweens, two study rooms, and 8 computers. The department offers books, music CDs, DVDs, books on CD, magazines, and even fishing poles.

Youth Services offers a free meal for anyone 18 and under Monday through Friday from 3:45-4:45 pm. And Saturday from 2:00-3:30 p.m. through the Food for Good program (USDA is an equal opportunity employer and provider).
