About Brooks Library

The Millie M. Brooks Library opened June 1, 2013, as a partnership with the City of Wrightsville and CALS. The 2,000 square foot branch has a focused collection of books, DVDs and magazines, internet access and a small meeting space. The branch serves as the nearest library for the residents of southeastern Pulaski County.

Millie Muriel Ward Brooks was a long-time alderman in Wrightsville (Pulaski County). Millie Brooks had been a proponent of having a CALS branch library in Wrightsville, and when a decision was made in 2012 to renovate a space between the Wrightsville City Hall and the city gymnasium into a branch library, the city decided to name the new facility in her honor.
