Choose the Galleries & Bookstore for your holiday shopping
Did you know that you can do your holiday shopping at the library? It’s true. You can find gifts for just about everyone on your list while perusing one of the most beautiful stores in downtown Little Rock. The Galleries and Bookstore at Library Square is a simply stunning space to take in, plus you can find everything from gorgeous, one-of-a-kind works of art to lapel pins. The scent of handmade candles wafts in the air as you shop. Browse custom handmade items, along with a wide assortment of commercially-produced goods in a variety of themes. And of course, if you just can’t decide or don’t have time to browse, you can always grab a gift card.
Gifts for book lovers
With “bookstore” in the name, it’s a given that you would expect to find books here. Categories of books include literary fiction, mystery, science fiction/fantasy, history, religion, philosophy, psychology, and cultural studies, as well as children’s and young adult titles—all averaging around $3-$8 per copy. You can also find a large selection of gently read books and books by Arkansas authors on topics that range from food and photography to history and the outdoors. Or grab a literary themed tote bag that makes for clever, sustainable gift wrap.

While checking out, peruse the selection of adorable lapel pins that will only set you back about $10.

Items in the gallery are available for sale, prices are marked on each piece. Choose from a selection of custom, handmade woodwork, hand-blown glassware, jewelry, metalworks, and mixed media items. Browse more traditional ideas of art, including prints and paintings, but know that there are other options as well. Check out glasswork by Elizabeth James, including bowls in a variety of sizes, colors and designs. Prices range from $100-$300.

The jewelry available ranges in price from $20 to more than $200 by a variety of artists, meaning there’s something for every style and budget.
