About the author:
Kat Robinson covers restaurants, food, and culinary traditions in the Natural State and has written 13 books. As the Emmy-nominated host of Arkansas Dairy Bars on PBS, a founding selection committee member for the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame, and the co-chair of the Arkansas Pie Festival, she continues to share the stories of our food and the hands that make it.

In The Arkansas Barbecue Traveler: A Roadside Companion for Hungry Wanderers, Kat Robinson explores a state where the purveyors of wood-smoked meats shine, providing a photo-filled travelogue sharing what’s great on the plate at establishments from high-end smokehouses to patina-coated roadside stands. Along the way, Robinson documents nearly 400 barbecue joints across Arkansas’s 75 counties.
