Carolyn Guinzio is a poet living just outside Fayetteville. Her eighth collection, Cameo Blue, is forthcoming in 2026 from Carnegie Mellon University Press. Her book Meanwhile in Arkansas (2025) was the winner of the Quarterly West Chapbook Prize.

A Vertigo Book, winner of the Tenth Gate Prize and the Foreword Indies Prize, is a poetry collection in three parts. Part One enters the interior life of a widow who sings for church masses. Part Three revolves around an early 20th-century Dutch immigrant attempting to communicate and understand her surroundings. The parts are bridged by a group of poems about borders.
