Leah Diallo Laya's Yogurt Lassi
For Leah Diallo, yogurt-making is more than a business—it’s a legacy. Inspired by her grandmother, who transformed fresh farm milk into yogurt, cheese, and butter, Leah began making yogurt at home for her own family. With her sons’ favorite flavors—mango and vanilla—as her starting point, Laya’s Yogurt Lassi was born.
Her Mission:
Deliver nutritious, flavorful yogurt drinks to school children; encourage healthy eating habits through familiar, delicious flavors; and honor a multi-generational family tradition rooted in love and wellness.
Her Biggest Challenge?
Leah is navigating early-stage hurdles like packaging issues, labeling decisions, and access to commercial kitchen space—all while dreaming big about getting her yogurt into local schools.
Why Rock It! Lab?
Leah joined to validate her business idea, understand the market potential, and learn how to scale from friends-and-family customers to school contracts and store shelves.
Her Vision for Success:
Deliver daily batches of yogurt to schools in Little Rock and beyond; build a business that supports nutrition, culture, and entrepreneurship; and learn the legal, financial, and marketing skills needed to thrive.
Leah is blending tradition, health, and heart in every bottle of Laya’s Yogurt Lassi. Let’s support her as she builds a business that nourishes the next generation.
