Lauren Anderson & Francesca Bee Calm+Confidence

What started as a high school science program with a few beehives has evolved into a full-time mission blending science, sustainability, and community empowerment. At Calm+Confidence, Lauren and her team support new and experienced beekeepers, teaching them how to care for hives, use hive products like beeswax and honey, and even create natural goods like soaps and lip balms.

Their Mission:

Support beekeepers through mentorship & education, reduce hive mortality and promote sustainable practices, create unique, neighborhood-specific honey, and build a thriving, inclusive community of beekeepers.

Their Biggest Challenge?

Scaling the impact. Demand is high, and Calm+Confidence is developing an online platform to connect seasoned beekeepers with novices, making mentorship and resources accessible across the state.
