April 21-27 is Volunteer Appreciation Week and CALS wants to express a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteers. Close to 800 volunteers donate their time to the library regularly throughout the year. We currently have 1,296 volunteers on file at CALS. This past year, we had 668 volunteers donate 12,697.25 hours, for a cost savings of $403,772.55 to the library system.

Our volunteers are invaluable members of the CALS team. Volunteers bring special talents and enthusiasm with them. Many of our volunteers are also members of Friends of CALS, and with their monetary donations for this annual membership they support programs across the library system.

Even though our doors are closed to the public to protect your health, we still see our volunteers who are distributing grab-and-go meals every day at some of our library locations. Their cheerful and generous service shows the spirit that motivates our volunteers throughout our community.
