CALS Announces Not-Quite-Holiday Film Fest

It’s a wonderful life, unless you happen to find yourself in Nakatomi Tower on Christmas Eve. The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) Ron Robinson Theater, 100 Rock Street in Library Square, has announced the lineup for its series of holiday films, the Not-Quite-Holiday Film Fest, running from Tuesday, November 27, through Thursday, December 20. Each film starts at 6:30 p.m. and admission is $5. Tickets are available at ronrobinsontheater.org.

As the name suggests, selections for the series are not the usual seasonal fare. The Not-Quite-Holiday Film Fest will begin with a family-friendly classic, Home Alone (1990, PG), on Tuesday, November 27. Additional films include Edward Scissorhands (1990, PG-13) on Tuesday, December 4; Trading Places (1983, R) on Tuesday, December 11; Love Actually (2003, R) on Thursday, December 13; and Die Hard (1988, R) on Tuesday, December 18. Another 1980s hit, Gremlins (1984, PG), will end the Not-Quite-Holiday Film Fest on Thursday, December 20.

For the duration of the holiday series, concessions at Ron Robinson Theater will include an expanded hot drinks menu and gourmet candied popcorn options.

The Not-Quite-Holiday Film Fest is sponsored in part by The Point 94.1 and The Ride 106.7.
