Paul Milholland is a largely self-taught North Little Rock–based artist working primarily in wood sculptures and Mid-century-style furniture. Since 2018, he has been creating art full time after many years of building custom furniture.
Milholland studied fine art at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he was introduced to sculpting. Soon after, he began his career as a custom furniture maker. A lover of modern design, he is inspired by Mid-century and Danish designers like Charles and Ray Eames, Svend Aage Holm Sørensen, and Jacob Hermann.
Milholland’s designs are one-of-a-kind, and he gives careful attention to each creation. He loves envisioning his sculptures in the scraps of leftover material from furniture projects.
His work is collected throughout the U.S. and as far away as Japan. He is the owner of Milwerk Modern and Art Beachy.
