Paintings

Virmarie DePoyster was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. The vibrant tropical colors, wide open spaces, and rain forest left an indelible impression that is so clearly translated in her paintings. Her desire for creative expression began at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where she studied apparel merchandising and design. Years later, in 2004, she took on a new creative challenge by enrolling in classes at the Museum School at the Arkansas Arts Center (now Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts). She quickly fell in love with the bright pigments of soft pastels specifically when experimenting with surface textured paper.

Robin Tucker is an artist in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born in Clovis, New Mexico, and lived in Europe until the early 1970s when his family moved to Arkansas. Since then, Little Rock has been his home. He received a bachelor’s degree in art from Arkansas Tech University in 1980. From 1982 through 1984 Robin studied illustration and graphic design in the graduate program at UA Little Rock.
