Memoir Writing for Seniors

There are many reasons to write about our lives:

  • Challenging ourselves mentally as we age improves mental stamina and agility.
  • Writing about our experiences allows us to share ideas and lessons learned while making connections with those who read about our lives.
  • The act of writing is meaning-making; writing about the past helps it take shape and allows us to better make sense of it all.

This four-week class meets once each week and takes attendees through the steps of writing their own life stories.
