a movie still from The Exorcist

The Exorcist

At 6:00 p.m.,  Butler Center Books author and stunt woman Ann Miles, who performed the famous “spiderwalk” stunt in the extended cut of the movie, will be on hand to answer questions about her role in The Exorcist.

At 6:30 p.m., we will screen the classic 1973 horror film about a teenage girl who is possessed by a mysterious entity while her mother seeks the help of two priests to save her daughter.  The Exorcist, based on the book and screenplay written by William Peter Blatty, was directed by William Friedkin and stars Ellen Burstyn, Linda Blair, Max Von Sydow, and Jason Miller.

Ms. Miles will also be available beginning at 5:00 p.m. to sign copies of her book, Spiderwalk: The High Life and Daring Stunts of a Small-town Girl from Arkansas. The book signing is free and open to the public.  The Q&A session and the film screening require a ticket which may be purchased by clicking “Get Tickets” on this page.

This film is also part of our annual Boos & Booze series featuring scary movies and beer specials every Tuesday in October.
