Short Form: a virtual short story discussion group

Join us for a virtual discussion group focusing on short stories. We read a variety of genres, from literary and sci-fi, to horror and magical realism. We meet monthly on the last Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM on Zoom.

Our next meeting will be January 26. We will be reading two stories by Octavia E. Butler, “Bloodchild” and “Speech Sounds”. “Bloodchild” imagines an alien world in which humans are used as surrogates by insect-like creatures called Tlic. In “Speech Sounds” a mysterious virus leaves most of humankind unable to speak, read, or write.
