Shelley Green is the owner of The Green Corner Store in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. With extensive experience in retail, fashion, public relations, event planning, and hospitality, Shelley has worked with clients ranging from non-profit organizations to national corporations like Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue. She has a deep passion for environmental work and has worked with EcoScape at Birmingham Southern College and the Northwest Earth Institute. Since moving to Arkansas in 2006, Shelley has served on the City of Little Rock Mayor’s Sustainability Commission, the Sustainable Business Network of Central Arkansas, co-founded the Arkansas Earth Institute, and served on the boards for Local First Arkansas and SoMa 501.
ABOUT THE STORE
Since its start in 2009, The Green Corner Store has become not only a local staple for eco-friendly shopping, but also an anchor for the SoMa neighborhood and a second home for many Arkansas producers and artisans. In addition to featuring locally made crafts, home goods, organic cleaning, personal care and wellness products, The Green Corner Store serves beverages from its full-service tea, coffee, and kombucha bar.
This event is a part of a monthly CALS Program where Small Business Owners from Little Rock can talk about their Small Business and share any tips or advice they might have for someone looking to start their own.
