SEO–search engine optimization–is a key part of helping your business’s website stand out in an online world. Search engines (such as Google and Bing) are a primary way to find information. So when someone goes searching for what you’re selling, you want your website to be at the top of their results. SEO is a set of techniques designed to help it get there.

In this class, you’ll learn how to:

  • Avoid basic pitfalls of site design that cause search engine problems
  • Identify the search terms your customers will be using online
  • Tailor your website to emphasize what customers are looking for

This is an intermediate-level class, geared towards those who already have a website. Attendees should be familiar with common computer and Web terminology, and be able to perform tasks such as:

  • Using the keyboard and mouse comfortably
  • Navigating and managing a computer’s files and folders
  • Copying and pasting information
  • Easily navigating well-designed websites
  • Quickly and reliably accessing their email
  • Making basic changes to their existing site
