Made in Arkansas Film Festival 2020: Adventures in Quarantine

The second annual Made in Arkansas Film Festival is presented by Made in Arkansas with partnership from CALS Ron Robinson Theater. By filmmakers and for filmmakers, Made in Arkansas is dedicated to cultivating and promoting the art of filmmaking, and the yearly festival is devoted to showcasing films made in The Natural State.

The inaugural festival was a big success because it provided an opportunity for filmmakers to gather, swap ideas, support each other’s work, and network for future projects. This year submissions have been expanded to filmmakers with an Arkansas connection, and to filmmakers in neighboring states.

To help keep everyone safe, this year’s festival will be a VIRTUAL event, hosted on Kosmi.io. Because we know that the magic of the MIAFF lies in the synergy and fellowship of filmmakers, Kosmi’s interactive platform will allow not only for viewing of the best of Arkansas film, but for conversation between filmmakers and film lovers.

Awards will be given in five categories on Saturday, May 30 – PLUS you’ll be able to vote each night for Audience Favorite in each block. And because we know that nothing can replace the thrill of seeing these films on the big screen, the festivities will return to the CALS Ron Robinson Theater in the fall for a BEST OF MIAFF2020 event!
