Creating with The Isolation Journals
Are you looking for a way to process the fear, uncertainty, and isolation that has become so commonplace since March?
Emmy Award-winning writer, speaker, and cancer survivor Suleika Jaouad (pronounced Su-lake-uh Ja-wad) has launched The Isolation Journals, a creative endeavor with the goal of “transforming isolation into creative solitude and connection.” Modeled after Jaouad’s experiences in her early twenties while in isolation for leukemia treatment, the Isolation Journals encourages us to commit to “a small creative act” each day.
In this class, we’ll sign up with The Isolation Journals to receive prompts, and then we’ll meet once each week to share what we’ve created.
This event is free and open to the public. Contact email@example.com for more information.
Due to ongoing public health concerns, Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) has suspended all programs and outreach through the end of August. We will be providing virtual programming and other online services during this time. For more information, go to cals.org.
