CALS Butler Center for Arkansas Studies Presents LEGACIES & LUNCH

Speaker: Courtney Bradford

Courtney Bradford, curator of the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, will use artifacts from the museum’s collection to speak on the significance of African American narratives in Arkansas history.

Courtney Bradford is from Little Rock, Arkansas. She holds an MA in Public History from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a BA in Anthropology, African and African American Studies from the University of Arkansas. She has been a curator at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center for two years, making her the first Black female curator at MTCC, as well as the only Black curator employed by the state of Arkansas at this time. Bradford previously worked as a full-time history instructor. She also serves on the board of the Arkansas Women’s History Institute and the AALSH Leadership in History Awards Committee.

Legacies & Lunch is a hybrid program—offering participants the opportunity to attend either in person or virtually via Zoom. To participate in person, join us in Room 124 of the CALS Roberts Library (401 President Clinton Ave). Parking is available in the surface lot south of Roberts or the CALS Parking Deck across Rock Street. Parking will be validated. Bring your lunch; we will provide drinks and cookies.
